COLUMBUS, GA

Charles Alexander Ford, Sr. age 49 of Columbus, entered into eternal rest, July 2, 2017 at Saint Francis Hospital in Columbus. Mr. Ford was born in Ocilla, GA July 1, 1968 to Charles W. and Valley McFadden Ford. Mr. Ford graduated from high school and later received his Assistant Degree. He joined the Navy and was stationed in Saudi Arabia for a number of years with a rank of E-7. He transferred to the Army and later returned back to the Navy and retired after 22 years of service. Mr. Ford had lived in Columbus for the past 16 years, prior to that he lived in Germany.  Mr. Ford was a member of The Open Door Church of Deliverance.

Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date by the family.

Mr. Ford is survived by his father, Charles W. Ford; his wife, Glendia Juliet Ford of Columbus; five sons, James, Jamez, Jamir’, Charles, Jr., and Carlos Ford all of Columbus; one brother, Randy McFadden; one sister, Debbie Cobb; nine grandchildren.
